Founding Mission
Under the leadership of Vice President Dr. Chien-Chun Chang, the Spine Center and Department of Orthopedics were established, uniting expertise across spine, joint, sports medicine, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, pediatric orthopedics, trauma, and bone tumor care. The department comprises 11 attending surgeons and 9 spine specialists, forming a highly skilled and collaborative clinical team.
Dr. Chang has over a decade of clinical experience and has led his team to successfully perform more than 1,800 minimally invasive spinal and joint surgeries, including complex cases such as scoliosis correction, revision spine surgery, and geriatric spinal reconstruction. The team integrates cutting-edge technologies such as 3D computer navigation, robotic-assisted systems, and endoscopic minimally invasive surgery, ensuring surgical precision, safety, and faster recovery for patients.
Guided by the principles of quality, service, innovation, and integration, the center leverages the multidisciplinary medical resources of China Medical University and the institutional support of the Taichung City Government to provide comprehensive, patient-centered, and elderly-friendly care—establishing a new benchmark in spinal and joint treatment in Taichung.
