💡 Postoperative Back Brace Usage
The back brace should be worn for a minimum of 3 months postoperatively, with discontinuation subject to evaluation by the physician. When donning the brace, please ensure that you are on the bed.
👉 Rigid Back Brace (Boston Brace): Post spinal fusion with bone cement, post spinal fusion surgery, post spinal steel screw fixation, post spinal scoliosis correction surgery.
👉 Soft Back Brace: Post minimally invasive or endoscopic decompression surgery.
📍 Wearing Procedure:
- Begin by lying on your side, placing the back brace on your back, and then lying flat.
- Adjust the front part of the back brace to the correct position, and secure it with Velcro (the lower edge of the brace should be at the hip joint).
- Roll to your side again, use your upper hand to support the bed, and then use your body strength to sit up.
